Truck Mechanic

All Truck Repairs has vacancies for Diesel Mechanics at our busy Whangarei based workshop. Our locally owned and operated workshop is proud to support UD, Western Star and MAN franchises. We have a great expanding customer base with diverse varieties of makes, model and sized trucks to work on.

The role is varied and involves but is not limited to:

• General service and repairs of trucks and trailers and other machinery
• Pre COF checks and repairs for COF
• Clutch/engine repairs/gearbox rebuilds
• Preventative maintenance.

Suitable candidate will have the following attributes:

• Trade certification would be preferred but uncertified mechanics with 5+ years relevant experience in the industry would be considered
• Good communication both oral and written English
• Be reliable, punctual, have a good work ethic
• Must have a positive attitude and get on well with work mates
• Must show initiative and be self-motivated
• Full Driver’s License
• MUST HAVE RESIDENCY AND LIVE IN NEW ZEALAND

We offer:

Renumeration $38.00 - $45.00 / hr depending on qualifications and ability.

Your employment package could include (on top of the hourly rate): Fuel card with a monthly limit - to be negotiated

Minimum of 50 hours per week; Monday – Friday 7.30am – 5pm, Saturdays 7.30am – 1pm. Once fully staffed, Saturdays will be on a roster system.

Your hourly renumeration rate is negotiable. Your start rate is dependent on your experience, ability, skill level and competency to carry out the tasks to the standard All Truck Repairs requires.
